5 Products to Deep Clean Your Clogged Pores

So I obviously went MIA for the past few weeks. Marwan and I successfully moved states and began studying for our medical boards, all with an infant who decided to go through a sleep regression before the test! Top it off with his teething that started one week before the exam and you can say I was overwhelmed. But, the exam is done now and I am finally getting back to “normal” life, which still includes teething and no sleep…

My little teething ball of joy!

Humid Weather and Clogged Pores

This summer has been exceptionally humid. We moved to Missouri which is much more humid than that southern California weather I love. With all this humidity, my clogged pores are giving my skin a rough texture. So I am sharing my updated summer face routine to help unclog my pores.

Here are my 5 favorite detoxifying products:

  1. Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Gel Cleanser
  2. Clarisonic Mia 2
  3. Peter Thomas Roth 8% Glycolic Solutions Toner
  4. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream
  5. Kate Somerville Exfolikate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment

I still use my Perricone MD Citrus wash for daily use, but once a week I change it out for the Irish Moor Mud for a deeper clean. I normally use my Clarisonic once per day, but as I feel my skin get that rough texture, I up it to twice per day. Twice per week I use my Exfolikate which has both a manual and a chemical exfoliators. I never use this after the Irish Moor Mud! I follow all cleansing with the Glycolic Toner. The glycolic acid not only smooths your skin, it fights fine lines and signs of aging. Follow with a good moisturizer like Cetaphil to help restore your skins natural moisture!

This routine helps me keep a dewy summer glow and get rid of that sandpaper texture! What summer products are your favorites?
